Steve Mensch, the president of Tyler Perry Studios, tragically died at 62 in a single-seater plane crash in Florida.
The crash occurred on December 6, 2024, near Homosassa, Florida. Mensch, who had served as the studio’s president since 2016, was instrumental in managing the operations of the 300-acre facility in Atlanta, known for producing Tyler Perry’s “Madea” films and other notable projects.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash. Mensch is survived by his wife and three children. His death has left a profound impact on the studio and the Georgia business community, where he was a significant figure.
