Victor Osimhen’s €90 Million Release Clause Explained

January 2024 Transfer Rumors: Osimhen’s Future at Napoli

Victor Osimhen reportedly has a €90 million release clause that could allow him to leave Napoli permanently during the January 2024 transfer window.

This clause, however, does not apply to Serie A clubs, meaning he would only be able to move abroad. Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan earlier this season, has already drawn interest from top clubs such as Chelsea, PSG, and Al-Ahli, but negotiations during the summer transfer window did not materialize.

Despite this release clause, Galatasaray’s vice president has expressed doubts about Osimhen leaving in January, as the player has made a significant impact with the club since joining, scoring two goals in a recent match.

Nevertheless, his release clause sets the stage for potential high-profile transfers if any clubs decide to trigger it in the winter window
