  • Performance Statistics: A total of 34,878 candidates (53.64%) obtained credit passes in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. This marks a significant improvement from previous years, with 42.16% in 2022 and 44.29% in 2023 achieving similar results.
  • Gender Distribution: Female candidates outperformed their male counterparts, with 17,992 females (51.58%) achieving the minimum benchmark of five credits, including English and Mathematics, compared to 16,886 males (48.41%).
  • Withheld Results: The results of 2,577 candidates (3.96%) have been withheld due to alleged examination malpractice. Affected candidates are advised to visit the WAEC Notice of Examination Malpractice Portal to respond to the allegations.
  • Accessing Results: Candidates can check their results at www.waecdirect.org and access digital copies of their certificates at www.waec.org.

For the first time, WAEC conducted the examination in two modes: the traditional paper-and-pen and a computer-based hybrid mode, allowing candidates to select their preferred option during registration.

Candidates are encouraged to promptly check their results and address any issues, especially those concerning withheld results, through the appropriate WAEC channels.
