West Ham United is considering extending Michail Antonio’s contract after he suffered a serious leg fracture in a car accident recently.
Antonio, who is set to expire his contract in the summer of 2025, could be out of action for up to a year.
Despite this, the club is willing to continue paying his weekly salary of £90,000 as a gesture of support.
The club has also planned to auction several items to cover his medical and transportation expenses.
Antonio’s teammates paid tribute to him in a recent match by stepping onto the field wearing shirts with his name.
It’s heartwarming to see the club and his teammates rally around him during this tough time.
