Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued strong remarks concerning the political crisis in Rivers State, particularly the burning of three local government secretariats.
Wike blamed the unrest on Governor Siminalayi Fubara, accusing him of disobeying court judgments. Wike warned that such disregard for the rule of law invites “anarchy and violence.”
He criticized Fubara for proceeding with local government elections despite legal challenges, arguing that this decision exacerbated the tensions and unrest in the state.
Wike’s comments come amidst rising political tension between the two leaders, with both blaming each other for the instability in Rivers State.
