Woman Arrested for Conspiring to Steal Baby in Abuja

Abuja Police Uncover Baby Theft Conspiracy Among Neighbors

The police in Abuja have paraded a woman who allegedly conspired with her neighbors to steal her cousin’s six-month-old baby. The plan was to sell the child. The woman, identified as a 29-year-old, reportedly lured the baby’s mother into a false sense of security before carrying out the abduction. She then planned to sell the child to an unknown buyer.

Fortunately, the police intervened in time, rescuing the baby and arresting the perpetrators involved in the crime. This incident highlights the disturbing trend of child trafficking in Nigeria and the lengths to which some individuals will go for financial gain. The police have assured the public that further investigation will be conducted to bring all parties involved to justice.
