Gas Tanker Collision in Zamfara: One Dead, Three Injured

​A fatal road accident occurred on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at approximately 10:19 a.m., involving a gas-laden tanker and a sand-loaded tipper near the entrance of Tsafe, close to Dutse in Zamfara State. The collision resulted in the death of the tanker driver and injuries to three other individuals.

Emergency responders, including the Zamfara State Fire Service, arrived promptly at the scene. Firefighters worked diligently to cool the tanker, effectively preventing a potential explosion or fire outbreak. The injured victims were swiftly evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. ​

The exact cause of the accident remains unclear, and authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
