Victor Osimhen Stays: Napoli Rejects Galatasaray’s €65m Offer
Napoli has declined a €65 million offer from Galatasaray to make Victor Osimhen’s loan move permanent. The Turkish club’s bid fell short of Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, which is active during the January transfer window. Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, prefers to wait until the summer, anticipating that Osimhen’s value will be fully met then.
Osimhen, currently 26, is on loan to Galatasaray until the end of the season. The loan agreement includes a unique clause: if Osimhen transfers to another club in January, Galatasaray would receive €6 million in compensation, effectively raising his release clause to €81 million for other interested clubs during this period.
Napoli has also secured an option to extend Osimhen’s contract from 2026 to 2027, providing additional leverage in future negotiations. The club had previously reduced his release clause from €120 million before loaning him to Galatasaray.
