Woman Murdered by Boyfriend in Love Triangle
Police in Machakos, Kenya, are actively pursuing a man suspected of murdering his girlfriend, identified as Vero, in a tragic incident believed to stem from a love triangle. The crime occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the suspect’s rented residence in the Muvuti area, on the outskirts of Machakos town.
According to Machakos County Police Commander Patrick Lobolia, the suspect allegedly invited Vero to his home, where he reportedly raped and subsequently killed her. The incident was reported to the Machakos police station as a murder case. Officers processed the scene, and Vero’s body was transported to Machakos Level 5 Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are currently investigating the case and are in active pursuit of the suspect. Commander Lobolia condemned the act, emphasizing that individuals should not take the law into their own hands.
