Sara Rivers Initiates Lawsuit Against Diddy and MTV
Former “Making the Band” contestant Sara Rivers has filed a $60 million lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bad Boy Entertainment, and MTV, alleging sexual harassment, assault, and an abusive work environment during her time on the reality show.
The lawsuit also names over two dozen defendants, including Universal Music and Combs’ mother, Janice Combs.
Rivers claims that Combs controlled her eating and sleeping schedules, humiliated her publicly, and sexually harassed her by cornering her and running his hand across her breasts.
She also alleges that she and her group, Da Band, were inadequately compensated and pressured into signing contracts.
Combs’ representatives have denied the allegations, stating that these are false claims.
This lawsuit comes as the deadline for claims under New York’s Gender Motivated Violence Act nears and follows multiple other accusations of sexual misconduct against Combs, which he has also denied.
