The pop superstar has announced a new single titled “Patient Zero,” marking her first new song since her wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce this summer. The track is scheduled to arrive on Friday, September 25.
The announcement came after Swift sparked speculation with a mysterious countdown on her official website.

Swift announced the new song on Tuesday after fans spent hours trying to figure out what her latest online clues meant.
Her website displayed a countdown against a red curtain. The clock was set to reach zero at 2 p.m. Eastern time.
Swift also changed her Instagram bio to read, “And, baby, that’s sh0w business f0r y0u,” replacing the letter “o” with a zero.
The unusual spelling became an important clue once the countdown ended and Swift revealed the title of her new song.
Swift later confirmed the news herself, telling fans that she had been “impatiently waiting” to announce the single.
“Patient Zero” Arrives September 25
“Patient Zero” will be released on Friday.
Swift’s official website also offered limited-edition CD versions of the song. The collection includes a standard version, an acoustic version and a piano version.
The limited editions were made available for a short pre-order period, giving fans another way to collect the new release.
Details about the song’s full lyrics, production credits and music video have not yet been widely revealed.
That has left fans waiting to hear the complete track when it officially arrives.

The release has additional significance because it is Swift’s first new song since she married Kelce.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were married at Madison Square Garden in July, according to reports cited by the Associated Press.

Swift is scheduled to appear at Sunday’s ceremony, where she will receive the inaugural Artist Director Honors.
The new award recognizes artists whose work behind the camera has expanded music videos and visual storytelling.
Swift is also among the leading nominees at this year’s ceremony. She has nine nominations and currently shares the record for most VMA wins with Beyoncé, with 30 each.
