Peter Obi has urged the Nigerian government to take urgent and decisive action against the rising insecurity affecting the country. He stressed that protecting lives and property must remain the top priority, warning that delays in addressing the crisis will only deepen the suffering of citizens.
Obi explained that insecurity is crippling the economy, displacing families, and worsening poverty across communities. He noted that many Nigerians can no longer go about their daily lives freely, as fear of kidnappings, bandit attacks, and violence continues to spread.
He called on leaders at all levels to unite in the fight against insecurity by strengthening security agencies, improving intelligence gathering, and investing in community safety. Obi added that the approach must be consistent, sincere, and free from political bias.
According to him, insecurity not only threatens peace but also endangers national development and unity. He maintained that immediate intervention is necessary to restore stability, build public confidence, and secure the future of Nigeria.
His warning comes at a time when several regions are witnessing repeated attacks, further increasing pressure on the government to act swiftly and effectively.
