Okpebholo Umahi inspect Edo federal roads
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, alongside Minister of Works, David Umahi, has inspected deteriorating federal roads across the state.
The inspection tour covered key highways that have become nearly impassable due to potholes, erosion, and years of neglect. Speaking during the visit, Governor Okpebholo stressed that the poor condition of the roads has hurt economic activities and endangered motorists.
Minister Umahi assured residents that the federal government is committed to urgent rehabilitation, promising that contractors will be mobilized soon to commence work. He emphasized that road infrastructure remains central to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, adding that priority will be given to projects that ease trade and movement.
Communities along the affected routes expressed relief over the inspection, urging both state and federal authorities to ensure that the promised interventions are not delayed.
