Emmy Winners 2026: See the Full List of Winners From TV’s Biggest Night
The 2026 Emmy Awards have crowned the biggest winners in television, with The Pitt, Widow’s Bay and Hacks among the major shows celebrating during the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The ceremony was held Monday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Mariska Hargitay hosted the ceremony, which honored outstanding performances and programs from the latest television season.
The Pitt Wins Outstanding Drama Series
The Pitt won Outstanding Drama Series for the second consecutive year. The medical drama also delivered another major victory for Noah Wyle.
Wyle won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on the show. The victory added to the series’ strong showing after it entered the ceremony as the most-nominated program, with 25 nominations.
Rhea Seehorn won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Pluribus. The victory gave Seehorn her first Emmy in the category.
Widow’s Bay Dominates Comedy
Widow’s Bay was one of the biggest winners of the night. The series won Outstanding Comedy Series and collected several acting and creative awards.
Matthew Rhys won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow’s Bay. Kate O’Flynn won Outstanding Supporting Actress, while Stephen Root took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
The show also won for writing and directing, helping make it one of the most successful programs of the 2026 Emmys.
Earlier Creative Arts Emmy wins brought Widow’s Bay‘s total to 14 awards, making it the overall leader for the 2026 ceremony.
Jean Smart Makes Emmy History
Jean Smart continued her remarkable run with another victory for Hacks.
Smart won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for the fifth consecutive time. The achievement made her the first woman to win an acting Emmy for every season of a television series.
The victory also moved Smart into an elite group of performers. She now has eight performance Emmys, tying Cloris Leachman and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the most acting Emmy wins.
DTF St. Louis Wins Limited Series
DTF St. Louis won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, adding another major award to its successful Emmy campaign.
Sally Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Remarkably Bright Creatures.
Matthew Rhys also made history by winning Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Beast in Me. His victories across comedy and limited series made him one of the night’s standout performers.
