Delta pastor arrested for rape and assault
The Delta State Police Command has arrested a pastor over serious allegations including rape, defilement, and sexual assault involving female members of his church. The suspect, identified as Pastor Daniel Ololo of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry in Sapele, was taken into custody at his church premises.
According to the police, a petition was filed against him alleging that he used fake prophecies to lure vulnerable women into his office. He allegedly told them that they would not be spiritually “delivered” unless they had sex with him. Investigations revealed that among the victims were three sisters from the same family, one of whom is just 17 years old.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police assigned the State Criminal Investigation Department to probe the claims. Officers are investigating the extent of the abuse and whether more people were affected. The case is being treated with urgency, and the suspect remains in custody as the inquiry continues.
