Delta Police Arrest Odogwu of Asaba Over Alleged Rape and Death of 20-Year-Old Woman
The Delta State Police Command has arrested popular Asaba-based content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, widely known as “Odogwu of Asaba,” over allegations that he raped a 20-year-old woman who later died following the incident. Investigators alleged that after the woman arrived in Asaba, she was taken to a hotel where she was sexually assaulted and physically abused. Authorities said she later returned home emotionally distressed and informed members of her family about what had allegedly happened. Police added that the victim reportedly struggled with severe emotional trauma in the days following the incident.
According to police accounts, the young woman later recorded a video in which she described her alleged experience and the emotional pain she had been enduring. Investigators said she subsequently ingested a toxic substance and was rushed for medical treatment but later died despite efforts to save her life.
