Diddy Reportedly Attacked in Prison After Inmate Held Knife to His Throat
Embattled American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been attacked in prison after an inmate allegedly held a knife to his throat during a violent altercation inside a federal detention facility.
According to multiple U.S. media reports, the incident occurred at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, where Diddy is being held pending trial on sex trafficking, racketeering, and assault charges.
Sources familiar with the situation claim that tensions flared when another inmate confronted the 55-year-old rapper in the common area of the facility. The altercation allegedly turned physical when the inmate pulled out a makeshift knife (shank) and threatened Combs before officers intervened.
“The situation escalated quickly. The inmate grabbed Diddy by the neck and held the weapon to his throat,” one source reportedly told The New York Post. “Prison guards rushed in immediately and managed to separate them before anyone was seriously injured.”
While prison officials have not publicly confirmed the details, insiders say Diddy sustained minor bruises and cuts, and the assailant has since been placed in solitary confinement pending investigation.
A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on specifics, citing security and privacy concerns but confirmed that “an incident involving two inmates” had occurred and that “appropriate disciplinary measures” were being taken.
Diddy’s legal team is said to be reviewing the incident and may seek his transfer to another facility, citing safety concerns. His attorneys have also reiterated that Combs maintains his innocence and is preparing to vigorously defend himself in court.
The rapper and business mogul, once hailed as a titan of the hip-hop industry, has seen his reputation collapse amid mounting allegations of sexual assault, coercion, and violence — claims he has consistently denied.
The latest prison incident has further heightened media attention around his case, which has been described as one of the most closely watched celebrity legal battles in recent years.
