DJ Chicken Arrested Over Viral Video About President’s Son, Lawyer Claims
Controversial Nigerian disc jockey and TikTok personality Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has reportedly been arrested following a viral video in which he made remarks about Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The development was disclosed by his lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, who appealed publicly for intervention and leniency.
According to Stephen, DJ Chicken was arrested in Ikeja, Lagos, before being taken to the Ikeja Police Headquarters. The lawyer said he believes officers of the Department of State Services (DSS) may also be involved in the case, although there has been no official confirmation from the DSS regarding its role.
In a video shared on his social media account, Stephen stated that the arrest was connected to comments DJ Chicken made in a recently circulated online video about Seyi Tinubu. The lawyer explained that he became aware of the arrest shortly after his client was taken into custody and immediately began seeking assistance.
Stephen appealed to Nigerians, particularly those with connections to the Presidency, to help facilitate DJ Chicken’s release. He described the entertainer as someone he had supported and mentored over the years, saying he viewed him as a personal project aimed at helping a young Nigerian build a better future.

The court granted him bail in the sum of ₦1 million with conditions that must be fulfilled before his release. The case has been adjourned to allow both the prosecution and defense to prepare for further proceedings.
