How Jandor’s Return is Revitalizing Lagos APC: Insights by Obasa
The Impact of Jandor’s Comeback on Lagos APC: Obasa Speaks
Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has reacted to the political re-emergence of the Lagos Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.
Obasa, while addressing journalists in Ikeja, said Jandor’s renewed activities in the political space would have little to no impact on the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, stressing that the ruling party remains deeply rooted across the state.
He described Jandor’s return as “an expected move in a vibrant democracy,” but maintained that APC’s structure, performance in governance, and grassroots presence give it an unshakable advantage ahead of future elections.
“Every politician has the right to test his popularity. However, Lagosians have continued to show trust in the APC because of our record of achievements. Jandor’s comeback will only add color to the political atmosphere, but it will not alter the balance of power in the state,” Obasa remarked.
The Speaker also urged APC members to remain focused on delivering dividends of democracy, assuring that the party is prepared for any political contest in 2027.
