Three male labourers were discovered dead in a makeshift room in Lekki Phase One, Lagos, on the morning of Sunday, September 3, 2025. The victims, who lived together in a temporary housing structure on Olateju Street, earned their living by running errands and taking up daily manual jobs in the neighborhood. A concerned neighbour raised an alarm after noticing an unusual silence coming from the room, prompting residents to investigate the premises. To their horror, they found the three victims lying in a pool of blood, their bodies marked by machete wounds. It is reported that attackers dragged the men out of their makeshift home before attacking them brutally. The gruesome discovery triggered panic among residents and prompted a swift response from local authorities, who were promptly invited to the scene. At the time of reporting, the motive for the attack remained unclear, though suspicions suggest possible connections to cult-related violence or personal disputes. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, had not issued an official statement to confirm the report or its potential lead.
