Woman spent £193,000 on tattoos now wants them lasered off
A woman from Brisbane who spent about £193,000, equivalent to roughly N377 million, covering 98 percent of her body in tattoos has revealed that she now wants to remove many of them through laser treatment. The woman, who began getting tattoos at the age of 16, said her decision was not driven by regret but by a desire for self-acceptance and personal transformation.
According to her, the process of tattooing was once a powerful form of self-expression, but she has now reached a stage in her life where she feels the need to reconnect with her natural appearance. She stated that she no longer identifies with her heavily tattooed face and wants to embrace a more authentic version of herself.
The laser removal treatment is being carried out by a clinic in Brisbane, which offered to sponsor the process in recognition of her public influence. The clinic will be helping her remove 36 facial tattoos free of charge, while she intends to keep many of her body tattoos as part of her personal history.
She described the laser treatment sessions as extremely painful, especially because facial skin is sensitive and several piercings make the process more complex. Despite the discomfort, she said she feels determined to complete the journey and sees it as a step toward inner peace and renewal.
The woman emphasized that she does not regret her tattoo journey, as it represents an important chapter of her life. However, she now views the decision to remove some of the tattoos as an act of personal growth and self-discovery.
