Zombies Star Carla Jeffery Dies at 33 as Disney Actress’ Co-Stars Pay Tribute
Carla Jeffery, the actress best known for playing Bree in Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise, has died at the age of 33.
Jeffery died on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, according to a statement from Alexanders Talent Management, the agency that represented her for more than two decades. Her cause of death has not been disclosed.
The sudden death of the young actress has prompted an outpouring of grief from fans, former co-stars and people who worked with her throughout her career.

Alexanders Talent Management announced Jeffery’s passing on Wednesday in an emotional statement shared on social media.
The agency described her as a “beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman” and remembered her radiant smile and the energy she brought to those around her.
The agency also said Jeffery had become more than a client after being part of the company since she was 12.
“Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time,” the agency said, while asking the public to respect the family’s privacy as they mourn.

Jeffery Was Best Known as Bree in Zombies
Jeffery became widely recognized after joining Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise.
She played Bree, a cheerful Seabrook High cheerleader and close friend of Addison, in the original 2018 film. She returned for Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, continuing to play a character who became familiar to a generation of Disney viewers.
Jeffery also voiced Bree in animated Zombies projects.
Her work in the franchise helped establish her as a recognizable face in Disney’s young-adult entertainment lineup. She also attended the 2025 premiere of Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires.
Her Acting Career Began at 12
Jeffery began her professional acting career as a child.
Born in Houston, Texas, on July 10, 1993, she made her film debut at age 12 in the 2006 comedy Phat Girlz, appearing alongside Mo’Nique.
She later built an extensive television résumé, appearing in programs including iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up, Scream Queens, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, American Vandal and Southland.
She also appeared in 10 episodes of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, playing Keysha Black.
Although she worked across different genres, her role as Bree remained her most recognizable performance.

News of Jeffery’s death quickly reached her former Zombies co-stars.
Milo Manheim, who starred in the franchise, expressed his heartbreak in a tribute posted after the news emerged.
“Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you,” Manheim wrote.
Chandler Kinney, another Zombies cast member, also shared an emotional message.
Kinney remembered Jeffery as someone who brought warmth and kindness into every room, writing that the news did not feel real.
