Troops Raid Kidnappers’ Hideout in Kaduna Forest, Rescue Eight Abducted Victims
Troops of the Nigerian Army have smashed a kidnappers’ hideout located in a forest in Kaduna State, rescuing eight abducted victims during a coordinated military operation aimed at dismantling criminal networks in the area.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out following credible intelligence on the movement and location of suspected kidnappers operating within the forest corridor. The troops reportedly advanced into the area in the early hours, engaging the criminals and forcing them to flee under pressure.
During the raid, several makeshift shelters believed to have been used by the kidnappers as camps were destroyed. The eight victims, who had been held in captivity for varying periods, were rescued unharmed and immediately evacuated from the forest to a safe location.
Military authorities said the rescued persons are currently receiving medical attention and psychological support, after which they will be reunited with their families. No casualties were reported among the troops involved in the operation.
