I Should Be a Case Study for Young Girls – First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Laments
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has said her personal journey and life experiences should serve as a case study for young girls, urging them to remain focused, disciplined and resilient in the pursuit of their goals.
Speaking at a public event attended by women leaders, youths and dignitaries, the First Lady reflected on her path from private life into public service, stressing that success often requires patience, sacrifice and unwavering commitment. She noted that her story demonstrates that women can thrive in leadership, family life and public service without losing their values.
Oluremi Tinubu, a former senator who represented Lagos Central for three terms, said many young girls today face pressure to seek quick success, often without understanding the long-term consequences of their choices. She urged them to prioritize education, integrity and character, describing these qualities as the foundation for lasting achievement.
“I believe my life should be studied by young girls,” she said, explaining that her journey was not without challenges, criticism and personal sacrifices.
