Anambra approves ₦43.7bn infrastructure projects
The Anambra State Government has approved a capital expenditure of ₦43.7 billion for the construction of new roads, rehabilitation of schools, and other key infrastructure projects across the state.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo announced the approval after the State Executive Council meeting, stressing that the investment reflects his administration’s commitment to improving social amenities and driving grassroots development.
According to officials, a large portion of the funds will go into expanding the state’s road network to boost commerce and ease transportation challenges. Another significant share is earmarked for the renovation and equipping of schools to raise education standards.
Other projects covered by the budget include healthcare facilities, rural electrification, and water supply initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
Governor Soludo assured that all projects will be executed transparently and within set timelines, while urging communities to cooperate with contractors for smooth implementation.
Stakeholders and community leaders welcomed the move, saying the investments would accelerate development and create job opportunities across Anambra State.
