Egyptian dies in Abuja hotel
Tragedy struck in Abuja when an Egyptian national reportedly slumped and died inside a hotel. The incident occurred on Saturday and has since drawn the attention of security agencies in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to preliminary reports, the man was lodged in the hotel before he suddenly collapsed. Staff and guests immediately raised alarm, and efforts were made to revive him, but he was confirmed dead shortly after.
Authorities have since launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of death. The body of the deceased has been deposited in a hospital morgue for autopsy, while officials have contacted the Egyptian embassy to notify his family.
Security operatives have also cordoned off the hotel premises to conduct further inquiries, though no foul play has yet been established.
Hotel management assured guests of safety and pledged full cooperation with investigators, stressing that all necessary measures are being taken to prevent panic.
