Fubara first Sunday service after reinstatement
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday attended his first church service following his reinstatement into office after weeks of political tension.
The governor joined worshippers at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Port Harcourt, where he offered thanksgiving to God for what he described as “a divine victory over trials and distractions.”
Fubara, who was warmly received by congregants, expressed gratitude to the people of Rivers State for their prayers and unwavering support during the political crisis that temporarily ousted him.
“This is not my victory but ours. Rivers people stood firm, and God proved Himself faithful,” he said.
Church leaders prayed for the governor’s renewed strength and wisdom to steer the state toward peace and development.
His appearance comes days after the political reconciliation that restored him to power, signaling a fresh phase in Rivers’ governance.
