Man Arrested for Alleged Murder of 14-Year-Old Qur’anic Student in Kebbi State
The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, identified as Jame Jidda, in connection with the suspected murder of 14-year-old Salihu Hassan, a student at a Qur’anic school in Birnin Kebbi. The boy was reportedly called out of his school by the suspect under the pretext of running an errand.
According to the victim’s father, Salihu’s lifeless body was later discovered behind the school. He was immediately taken to a local hospital, where doctors confirmed he had died as a result of an attack. The family held his funeral prayer at the school’s mosque before laying him to rest in the main cemetery of Birnin Kebbi.
Police confirmed the arrest and said they have launched a full investigation to uncover the motive behind the killing. Authorities have assured the public that they are determined to deliver justice for the young student.
