Kwara church attack Eruku
A disturbing video has emerged showing a violent attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, located in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. The footage captures terrified worshippers running for safety as gunmen opened fire during a service, leaving three people dead.
Eyewitness accounts describe how the armed men stormed the church unexpectedly and began shooting at close range. Three worshippers were reportedly killed instantly, while others were forced into the surrounding bushes at gunpoint. The attackers were said to have escaped through the forest paths that connect Eruku to neighbouring communities.
A traveller caught in the chaos recorded himself hiding in the bush as gunshots continued in the background. In the clip, he appealed for urgent help and described how people abandoned their vehicles and fled in different directions.
Although the Kwara State Police Command has not yet issued an official confirmation, multiple local reports indicate that several church members, including the pastor, were abducted during the raid.
