Retired Vicar’s Unfortunate Crime: Nail Scissors Used in Castration
Reverend Geoffrey Baulcomb, a 79-year-old retired Church of England vicar, was sentenced to three years in prison on September 1, 2025, at the Old Bailey for his role in the “Eunuch Maker” extreme body modification ring.
Baulcomb pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a nine-second video from January 4, 2020, found on his phone showed him using nail scissors to enlarge a man’s urethra at his Eastbourne home.
The victim, whose identity is protected, consented to the procedure, but Judge Mark Lucraft KC noted its severity, non-sterile conditions, and Baulcomb’s lack of medical training, describing it as “human butchery.”
Baulcomb also admitted to seven charges, including possessing 31 indecent images of children (one Category A, four Category B, 37 Category C), distributing an indecent child photo, and possessing 195 extreme pornographic images, some linked to the Eunuch Maker website run by Marius Gustavson.
Gustavson, a Norwegian jailed for life in 2024 with a minimum term of 22 years, earned £300,000 from the site, where thousands paid to watch castrations and other mutilations. Baulcomb, who exchanged over 10,000 messages with Gustavson, was expelled from the Church of England in 2023 after a police raid in December 2022 uncovered drugs (heroin and ketamine) and surgical tools at his £25,000 Eastbourne cottage.
The Church rejected his claim that drugs aided his pastoral work. He retired from St Mary the Virgin church in 2003 but remained ordained until barred in 2022.
