Shocking Incident: Man Passes Away on Popular Disneyland Attraction
A 53-year-old Filipino tourist died after losing consciousness on the Frozen Ever After ride at Hong Kong Disneyland on August 29, 2025.
The man was riding with his wife when she noticed he had fallen into a coma mid-ride. She alerted staff, and first-aid responders performed CPR as the boat returned to the loading area.
He was rushed to North Lantau Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after 11:30 a.m. local time. His wife reported to police that he had a history of heart disease and high blood pressure requiring regular treatment.
Hong Kong Disneyland stated the incident was not related to ride safety and is providing assistance to the family. The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong is coordinating with authorities to help repatriate the man’s remains.
