Rihanna’s Iconic Discography: Special Box Set Marks Key Anniversary
Rihanna is commemorating the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Music of the Sun (released August 29, 2005), with a special edition vinyl box set called R20, featuring all eight of her studio albums: Music of the Sun (2005), A Girl Like Me (2006), Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), Rated R (2009), Loud (2010), Talk That Talk (2011), Unapologetic (2012), and Anti (2016).
This set is a reissue of the 2016 15xLP collection, which included five albums never before on vinyl (Music of the Sun, Rated R, Loud, Talk That Talk, and Unapologetic), a 186-page hardcover book with original CD booklet reproductions, and a signed vinyl slipmat, all in a black high-gloss slipcase with Rihanna’s signature foil-stamped on the front.
The R20 edition features her “Rhenna” doodle design, a stick-figure character from her social media since 2014. Specific details on the 2025 reissue’s contents and pricing are not fully available, but fans can sign up for updates at shoprihanna.com.
Alongside the box set, Rihanna launched a limited-edition merch collection, including a $125 black pullover hoodie with “Rhenna” and “20 years with you” on the back, a $65 double-layered T-shirt with a Rihanna photo and “Rihanna since 2005” on the back, and a $50 posable “Rhenna” doll.
Shipping is set for October 17, 2025, for the hoodie and T-shirt, and October 31, 2025, for the doll. The announcement has sparked excitement, though some fans note the high cost and limited availability, with prior box sets now reselling for over $1,000 on platforms like eBay and Amazon.
