President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the former Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of PUNCH Newspapers, Mr. Ademola Osinubi, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing him as a trailblazer in Nigerian journalism and a patriot who dedicated his life to strengthening democracy through the media.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President lauded Osinubi’s distinguished career and his contributions to the development of ethical journalism in Nigeria.
“Mr. Osinubi’s decades-long commitment to journalistic excellence, truth, and national progress remains a reference point in the Nigerian media landscape,” the statement read.
“As Managing Director of PUNCH, he not only upheld the paper’s reputation for credibility and professionalism but also mentored a generation of journalists who continue to shape national discourse.”
