Former U.S. President Donald Trump has taken to social media to mock Democrats with a series of memes, as Washington braces for a potential government shutdown over budget disagreements.
Trump, who remains a dominant figure in Republican politics, shared edited images and short video clips portraying Democrats as responsible for the looming crisis. His supporters quickly amplified the posts, sparking heated debates online.
“The Democrats don’t care if the government shuts down. They only care about power,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.
